On being a woman

This little gem cracked me up today.

On being a woman

Why is it, when I am in Rome,
I’d give an eye to be at home,
But when on native earth I be,
My soul is sick for Italy?

And why with you, my love, my lord,
Am I spectacularly bored,
Yet do you up and leave me—then
I scream to have you back again?

  1. Heehee! I like that! I hope you get to feel better soon!!!

If you were not so sick I might REALLY give you a hard time about being “stuck” in FLORENCE, ITALY in JANUARY…hummm, excuse me ANYTIME OF THE YEAR…you poor, poor child! 😉

BTW…are you up for some company in FEB? Looks like I’ll have some time off that I have to “use or loose”.

  2. When Dorothy Parker met Will Rogers, she said “I never liked a man I didn’t meet.”

  3. I means this in the most loving way. . . Mendy you suck. 😉

  4. This is fabulous! DP must have been quite a lady.

Are you feeling better? I hope so. I’m finally getting over a cold that lasted for close to two weeks! January is a tough month, you’re right. At least we can begin to see the light return a little more each day. The darkness won’t last forever. Feel better! Take care of you, okay? I’m sending e-hugs and healing vibes!
